white noise that goes on for hours

called today at 4:08pm CST. Call was not answered as there are too many strange calls these days. This may be a "spoofed" call - a call made from another phone that identifies itself with the above Verizon number. If this is true, Verizon cannot do anything about it. One of our politicians (midwest), had a service that would call "from" a number identified as originating in Canada, and if answered, the politicians phone call would come thru shortly after hanging up on the Canada call (which no one would respond when answered). After it happened a few times, it became clear who was triggering the Canada call. Fortunately, that politician is not doing that anymore.

Would like for these unwanted calls to stop.

Did not pick up the phone.

i just got a call from this number too. turns out it was my HR Payroll department.
